Vanderpump Rules Star Brittany Cartwright’s Mom Sherri Asks For Prayers as She is Hospitalized Again
Brittany Cartwright‘s mom, Sherri Cartwright, is back in the hospital after experiencing complications from a bladder surgery earlier this year.
In a series of new videos shared to her Instagram Stories on Monday, October 12, the Vanderpump Rules guest star explained to her followers that her kidneys went septic before sharing plans to undergo another surgery in the coming days and requesting prayers be sent her way.
“Well guys, I’m back in the hospital again. This time I went septic with my kidneys,” Sherri explained. “I had kidney stones, can’t pass them. They did a partial operation yesterday and gonna finish [up] in about a week.”
According to Sherri, doctors couldn’t operate on her fully because she wasn’t healthy enough.
“[They] gotta let everything get cleared up before I can have the rest of my surgery,” she shared.
As Pump Rules fans will recall, Sherri landed in the intensive care unit (ICU) in early June after her bladder surgery didn’t go as planned. At the time, her pastor, Ryan Dotson, who Brittany and husband Jax Taylor came under fire for hiring to officiate their June 2019 wedding before ultimately replacing him with Lance Bass, shared the news on Facebook.
“I would like to ask all my friends to please pray for my friend and church member Sherri Turner Cartwright,” he wrote on June 10. “She had to have an emergency surgery after having a scheduled procedure that went bad. She’s in ICU and things are uncertain, so please join us in prayer for Sherri and believe God for her full recovery.”
Just over a week later, Ryan returned to Facebook with a promising update.
“Sherri is out of ICU and in a room and improving daily,” he shared on June 18.
Speaking of the ups and downs she experienced this year, Sherri admitted that 2020 hasn’t been the best.
“I know one thing, this has been a hard year definitely on me, and a lot of other people, I’m sure. So if you all could, please say a prayer for me. I really need it,” she asked.
While Sherri appears to be facing an uphill battle when it comes to her health, she did receive some positive news in September when daughter Brittany announced she and Jax are expecting their first child, a son, in April of next year.
