Home » Stassi Schroeder Says Daughter “Saved Her” From Drugs and Alcoholism After Vanderpump Rules Firing
Stassi Schroeder is glad she was pregnant in June 2020 when she was fired from her role on Vanderpump Rules due to her past behavior against ex-castmate Faith Stowers.
During a recent episode of her new podcast with husband Beau Clark, Stassi opened up about how her daughter saved her from alcoholism and drug use and admitted that her pregnancy was the “f*cking greatest gift” she’s ever received.
“I think a lot of people think going through a hard time while you’re pregnant, it’s like, ’Oh man, like, that sucks.’ I think that that made me so much better to be pregnant while I was going through a hard time,” Stassi admitted on The Good the Bad the Baby.
Stassi, along with Kristen Doute, was fired from Pump Rules last year after being accused of racially targeting Faith after her affair with Jax Taylor, who was dating his now-wife, Brittany Cartwright, at the time, and accusing her of crimes she didn’t commit.
Looking back, Stassi said that if she wasn’t expecting her first child at the time of the firing, she likely would have used alcohol or drugs to cope with the loss of her Bravo position, as well as the loss of her many sponsors and her former podcast, Straight Up With Stassi.
“If I [wasn’t pregnant], I think I probably would have just like gone to alcoholism, Xanax, all these unhealthy things, I would have lashed out. I would have dark-passengered. And I think our baby 100 percent saved me,” she shared.
According to Stassi, being pregnant kept her in a positive headspace even when going through dark times.
“When I look back on this past year, to me, it’s filled with so much more happiness and thankfulness and gratitude than sadness because when I have the f*cking greatest gift I’ve ever been given, it just, like, puts things in perspective,” she explained.
