Melissa Gorga Considers Divorce as Reports Suggest She is Putting Her Career Ahead of Her Marriage

Melissa Gorga and her husband, Joe Gorga, are reportedly butting heads as her career as a reality star and a boutique owner continues to skyrocket.

As the couple’s marital issues become a main storyline of the 11th season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, with Melissa reportedly giving her number to another man, an insider claims Melissa is “distracted” and considering a split.

“She’s distracted with work and doesn’t have time for Joe,” an insider told Star in their latest issue.

While Joe once said he needed sex “every day,” he is now said to be feeling neglected by his wife.

“And he isn’t one to hold back,” the source explained.

During production on the new season of RHONJ in 2020, Melissa was rumored to be getting close to another man. However, while her potential encounter with a restaurant owner was teased in the trailer, fans will have to wait until more episodes air to find out what exactly went down, if anything, between them.

According to the report, Melissa and Joe, who sold their $2.5 million Montville home at the end of last year, were trying to work out their issues for the sake of their three children, Antonia, 15, Gino, 13, and Joey, 10, but now, with Melissa’s focus outside of her marriage, she could be ready to walk away from their relationship.

“She’s been with Joe most of her adult life, and the thought of leaving him has crossed her mind more than once,” the insider shared.

During an interview with Us Weekly earlier this month, Melissa admitted Joe would have preferred that she stay exactly how she was when they wed.

“He likes things to stay the same. I’ve been with him since I was 24 years old. So I’ve changed and I feel like this is a scary part of marriage,” Melissa explained. “Either you’re going to grow together or you’re going to grow apart. And I think we’re fighting really hard to grow together.”

“It’s not easy. We’re struggling. I’m not sitting here telling you that, like, I’m moving out of my house today, but we were struggling,” she added.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 11 airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
