Home » Justin Hartley ‘Would Look Even More Repulsive’ if He Spoke Out on his Divorce from Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause
Selling Sunset season 3 focused on the lead-up and immediate aftermath of Chrishell Stause’s divorce from This Is Us actor Justin Hartley.
Although the Oppenheim Group real estate agent shared details aplenty of her version of events in the split, claiming she was completely ‘blindsided’ by his decision to end their marriage after two years, her ex-husband has remained silent.
Brand and reputation management expert, Eric Schiffer has claimed to Metro.co.uk the potential reasoning behind Justin keeping out of the limelight could be to protect his name and character from ‘burning to ashes’.
‘Justin has avoided interviews because he doesn’t want to be perp-walked across the pages of the tabloids,’ he alleged. ‘Justin knows if he sits for an interview he is playing with nuclear weapons and would look even more repulsive for why and how he left the relationship.’
Eric continued: ‘Justin faces deadly consequences to his career if he speaks further because the good guy This is Us image will continue to be burnt to ashes. Justin would no longer be one of us but rather the enemy of the people.
‘His actions have made Chrishell a sympathetic darling of the public and left him as a modern-day out of touch celebrity elite who thinks he can treat people, even those who helped to raise his child, like Beverly Hills dirt.’
Eric added: ‘Chrishell is the winner here in the end because she can avoid a partner who is an entitled spoiled celebrity man baby that lacks basic decency.’
Chrishell and Justin had been together for six years, having first met in 2013.
In 2016, Chrishell announced that they had got engaged via Instagram – with the star showing off a sparkling ring on her finger as she sunbathed.
The former couple tied the knot one year later in an intimate outdoor ceremony in Malibu, California.
In November 2019, Justin filed from divorce from Chrishell citing ‘irreconcilable differences’.
At the time, Chrishell was in the middle of filming the third season of Selling Sunset, and she claims was just given a 45 minute warning before it became public knowledge.
Justin Hartley’s rep declined to comment.
Selling Sunset is available to stream on Netflix.
