Home » Caitlyn Jenner and Sophia Hutchins Are Reportedly in Talks to Join the Cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Caitlyn Jenner hasn’t done the reality TV thing ever since her docuseries I Am Cait, a spinoff of Keeping Up With the Kardashians that followed Jenner after she transitioned. However, it looks like that might change. New reports say that she and her friend Sophia Hutchins are being eyed as potential cast members on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
TMZ reported on Sept. 27 that Jenner and Hutchins are in consideration to fill the vacancies left by Teddi Mellencamp and Denise Richards. (Mellencamp announced on Instagram on Sept. 22 that her contract had not been renewed after three seasons on the show, while Richards left earlier in the month after two seasons in what her representative told People stemmed from her desire to “enjoy her family more.”)
Speaking to TMZ, sources said that Hutchins allegedly had a meeting with former RHOBH cast member Eileen Davidson in recent weeks where they discussed the show and the possibility of Hutchins joining the show.
Insider also claim that Hutchins has allegedly been in talks with production about joining as a full cast member and having Jenner appear as a guest.
When directly asked whether she was interested in being on the show, Hutchins played coy. But sources told the outlet that Jenner has allegedly been pushing her to join and would love to be a “friend of the show” herself.
Granted, Jenner hasn’t been on the show very much since her split from Kris Jenner, regardless of them remaining friendly. But given that the show is set to end in 2021, it seems likely that she may appear on the program a little more, especially considering she was such a huge part of the show at one point.
Kim Kardashian West announced on Sept. 8 that the show that launched her family to fame after its 2007 debut would be ending after 14 years and 20 seasons.
“Without Keeping Up with The Kardashians, I wouldn’t be where I am today,” she continued. “I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has watched and supported me and my family these past 14 incredible years. This show made us who we are and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever. With Love and Gratitude, Kim.”
As of writing, the show is in the middle of its 18th season. Fans can tune in to Keeping Up With the Kardashians every Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET on E! And with any luck, maybe they’ll be able to catch Jenner on RHOBH when that returns too.
